Position Description:
NOVA Networks is looking for a hard-working Vendor Management Administrator to assist in maintaining good relationships with vendors. Responsibilities include building relationships with vendors, managing vendor programs, managing necessary certifications.
To be successful as a vendor manager, requires the ability to negotiate and understand contracts, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work closely with senior executives. Vendor managers are also expected to resolve disputes and search for mutually beneficial outcomes. Ultimately, an outstanding vendor manager should be detail-oriented, able to multitask effectively, as well as demonstrate exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and sustaining long-standing relationships with company-approved vendors.
- Meeting with suitable vendors to assess their products and services, inquire about their programs, negotiate pricing and solutions, and communicate any product or service-related concerns.
- Conducting research on available vendors to determine which vendors offer the best pricing and product quality.
- Implementing and maintaining vendor programs.
- Research and establish relationships with new vendors when necessary
- Managing and tracking all necessary requirements from vendors, including certifications needed.
- Using set standards to assess the performance of approved vendors.
- Working with vendors on marketing and advertising, including requesting and submitting the necessary for marketing development funds.
- Organize and track all documentation between the company and vendors
- Resolve vendor disputes or issues quickly and efficiently
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, marketing, business administration or a related field;
- Proven experience working as a vendor manager;
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications;
- Strong negotiation, management, and decision-making skills;
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills;
- Effective written and verbal communication skills;
- Valid driver's license;
