Position Description:
Nova Networks is one of Canada’s largest providers of IT services. We are seeking a SolarWinds Administrator to join our MSP Monitoring and Development Team who will leverage their expertise to help develop, maintain, and customize the SolarWinds environment as well as work with our other monitoring systems.
The Day to Day:
- Create, test, and deploy various monitoring templates within SolarWinds and any other monitoring tools
- Assist with configuration, automation, and integration of the monitoring tools
- Support day-to-day system performance and maintenance
- Work with internal teams regularly to build reports and dashboards
- Execute change requests for monitoring adjustments, device onboarding, etc… within our monitoring tools
Candidate Requirements:
- 2+ years working experience with SolarWinds
- Hands on administration of SolarWinds NPM, SAM, NCM, NTA, etc…
- Knowledge of SNMP, WinRM/WMI, APIs, and other forms of polling device data
- Some scripting or programming knowledge with JavaScript, C#, C++, Python, PHP, BASH
- Experience working with the SolarWinds API for use in Automation and Integration
Nice to Haves:
- SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP)
