Position Description:

Trusted by our clients, either independently, or as part of an onsite team, you will be the one that client staff relies on to keep their computing devices operating as expected and connected to the servers, networks, devices, systems and services that the staff needs to complete their business assignments. Your skills and experiences will aid you in:

  • Responding to client staff issues, diagnosing and identifying the desktop, network, or server problem and resolving it
  • Conducting client-side preventive hardware and software maintenance
  • Configuring and installing new desktop computing devices and peripherals
  • Managing and maintaining client Active Directory (and LDAP) user accounts and group policies and membership
  • Accurately maintaining IT asset inventories and related documentation
  • Working with Nova’s network operations analysts, administrators and engineers to diagnose and restore IT infrastructure services. Note: it is anticipated that should there be a failure in the client infrastructure, you will be asked to work outside those hours to support Nova’s remote efforts to restore and then resolve the cause of the failure
  • Participating in IT infrastructure (server, networking, middleware storage, backup, ….) and services update and implementation projects. Note: to minimize disruption to the client’s business operations, your participation may be required outside of your normal working hours

You will always have the full support of Nova’s entire managed services team when you need it. Collectively the knowledge and experience our team of more than 100 professionals run the full gambit of IT infrastructure design, deployment, monitoring, issue and problem resolution and maintenance and management.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Bilingualism (French and English)
  • Current Secret clearance
  • Strong Microsoft desktop and server Windows OS troubleshooting and support skills
  • 2 - 5 years of experience providing support to corporate organizations
  • 2 - 5 years of experience providing superior end user application and desktop support
  • 2 - 5 years of administration experience with Microsoft Server products, Exchange, networking, and backup systems
  • 2 - 5 years of experience with the latest Microsoft products (Windows10, virtual servers, Exchange, SQL), preference given to candidates with relevant certifications
  • Experience with anti-spam, anti-virus products, Windows patching
  • Experience maintaining and managing IT-based documentation
  • Excellent customer relations and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle

Nice to Haves:

  • VMWare and Hyper experience
  • Experience setting up and troubleshooting audiovisual equipment
  • Printer & desktop repair experience
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes
  • Industry certificates such as CCNA, MCITP, A+
